Familiäre Pflege entlang des Lebenslaufs

Dieses Forschungsfeld untersucht, wie sich Krankheit und Pflege entlang des Lebenslaufs auf Familien oder einzelne Familienmitglieder auswirkt und wie die betroffenen Personen mit daraus entstehenden Herausforderungen umgehen. Der Fokus liegt auf der Familie als pflegerischem Kontext und als System, das sowohl die individuelle Krankheitsbewältigung als auch das gemeinsame Bewältigungshandeln umfasst. Im Speziellen schließt dies vor allem chronische Erkrankungen im häuslichen Umfeld aber auch akute Krankheitsereignisse ein. Ein Schwerpunkt des Instituts sind Kinder und Jugendliche, sowohl als Betroffene von Krankheit als auch in ihrer Rolle als Pflegende (Young Carers).
