Profile
Eva Krabb has been a University Assistant at the Department of Nursing Science since 2024. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Mental Health Nursing at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom in 2007. She worked many years as a mental health nurse in the fields of addiction care and acute psychiatry, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. From 2020 to 2023 she led the nursing team at an addiction treatment centre in Vienna.
She completed her master’s degree in nursing science at the University of Vienna in 2024. In her master’s thesis she writes about the care of people with addiction disorders in a low-threshold treatment setting. Eva describes in her thesis the development of a complex counseling-oriented intervention to improve hygiene practices for people who use substances intravenously.
Eva's research continues to focus on mental health care and nursing. For her dissertation project she will examine the role of nursing in the integration of mental health and primary health care.
