Profile
Antonia Modelhart is a social scientist working on issues related to health policy.
Her research is situated at the intersection of medical anthropology, critical public health, and comparative policy analysis. She has conducted research on reproductive technologies, rare diseases, and genetic diagnostics. In her doctoral dissertation, she examined the growing problem of antibiotic-resistant bacteria through ethnographic fieldwork in Austrian hospitals.
She is currently part of a research project led by Prof. Hämel, investigating community-owned medical care centers in Germany
